MANUFAKTURA Brand
The MANUFAKTURA brand was created by the Český národní podnik Ltd. company, which deals in the design, manufacture and sale of a wide selection of traditional Czech craft goods.
Czech Tradition
We consider one of our most important goals to be the preservation of the roots and the presentation of Czech and Moravian crafts at a high standard. Social changes in the last few years significantly widened the selection of products in all areas of human activity, which was reflected on the approach to traditional crafts. Their development stopped in many cases. Our company took over cooperation with many craft workshops and with former masters of folk art production. Wooden toys with traditional but also modern designs are an importnat part of the selection. Manufaktura Cosmetics
In the year 1998 our company began to manufacture high quality fresh glycerin soaps in the space of the Kadlec soap-house in Liben, which has existed since interwar period.
Manufaktura Cosmetics is inspired by the tradition and history of the famous Czech spas, and can transform a bath into a small home spa. It's based on the usage of high quality herbal essences and valuable natural sources from the world-famous Czech spas.
Other Activities
We try to contribute to the preservation and development of traditional crafts. We do so by nominating candidates for the title of Bearer of Traditions, organizing designer competitions, and hosting professional seminars. We also contribute to the popularization of folk crafts by organizing press conferences, talks with ethnographers, historians, and also by presenting ourselves in the media. Our foreign contacts are developing satisfactorily. Inspired by our stores, we have been working with our Japanese partners since 1996 on a representational exhibit of traditional crafts in Kagoshima, where our company headed the complete project and provided the interiors as well as the crafts. In recent years our company participated in several fair presentations of the Czech Republic abroad under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry. In 1995 Český národní podnik ltd. received the Czech Made award for quality of services. We regularly present Manufaktura cosmetics at fairs in the Czech Republic and abroad.
